Corona Virus - Covid-19 & Adoption

We alert you to how the pandemic is affecting adoptions. In countries affected, US Embassies are operating with limited staff. We are advised adoption visa processing is given priority but routine visa processing is suspended. Families are not encouraged to travel at this time. In the US, USICS Field Offices are shuttered except for emergencies. At USICS, Officers are working on cases. At the State Dept Office of Children’s Issues (DOS/OCI) Officers are providing liaison and support for families overseas. Please check the CDC website, USCIS and Travel Advisories for updates.
